The Impossible Mile is a functional fitness race in Plymouth, UK, challenging participants with 400m Burpee Broad Jumps, 400m Lunges, 400m Bear Crawls, and a 400m Run. Open start times are available from 9am to 10:59am, with marshall monitoring for strict movement standards. This event, hosted by Aterium, presents a unique functional fitness challenge where athletes navigate a mile-long course composed of demanding bodyweight movements and running. Participants will complete four distinct 400m segments: burpee broad jumps, lunges, bear crawls, and a final run. Strict adherence to movement standards will be enforced by marshalls, requiring repetitions for any failed attempts. The race is set at Foulston Hub, utilizing a racing track facility. Spectators are welcome to attend. The schedule includes a 2-minute silence at 11am.
Open start times between 09:00 and 10:59. Participants complete 400m Burpee Broad Jumps, 400m Lunges, 400m Bear Crawl, and 400m Run. Movements are strictly monitored with penalties for failed standards.
